Worship. A noun or a verb? Depending on the individual who is defining the word worship could be both a noun and a verb. Robert Webber, a scholar of worship, has written, “Worship is a verb. It is not something done to us or for us, but by us.” C. Welton has expressed worship as, “A gift between lovers who keep on giving to each other.” The College For Officer Training equips future Salvation Army Officers to be both leaders and participants in and of worship. In exploring worship the following thoughts have been composed by cadets and officers with a desire to deepen their offering and understanding of worship.
