Over the Christmas season I had received an e-mail from a Salvation Army Officer about what a man had said to him, “If you want to see Christmas go to The Salvation Army!” This statement was made very true for me this Christmas. As a 2nd year cadet I was fortunate to spend my winter [...]

The final days before Commissioning were busy times at CFOT as we prepared to travel to Newfoundland for the commissioning of the Prayer Warrior session.  But on Sunday, June 13 we took a bit of time to acknowledge the “kidettes” of the Prayer Warrior session with their own commissioning ceremony. Beginning with a march-in to [...]

It is hard to believe that it has been almost two years since I made the decision to respond to God’s call on my life to become a Salvation Army Officer. And if you’ve read my bio on this website you’ll know that one of the greatest challenges I faced in making that decision was [...]

Saeng yon Lee writes… Last Christmas season was quite different from past years. I enjoyed time with the Christmas kettle and packing and delivering hampers, and  Christmas hampers were quite new to me. I could see how the Salvation Army works in local community. CFOT HIGHLIGHTS
  • Scripture for Praying & Living

    May 18, 2012

     Praying Scripture – 1 Chronicles 16:29

    “Ascribe to the LORD
    the glory due his name;
    bring an offering and come before him.
    Worship the LORD
    in the splendour of his holiness.”

    Living Scripture - Hebrews 12:8-9

    If you are not disciplined
    (and everyone undergoes discipline),
    then you are illegitimate children
    and not true sons.
    Moreover, we have all had human fathers
    who disciplined us
    and we respected them for it.
    How much more should we submit
    to the Father of our spirits and live!

    Praying Scripture – 1 Chronicles 16:29

    “Ascribe to the LORD
    the glory due his name;
    bring an offering and come before him.
    Worship the LORD
    in the splendour of his holiness.”

    Living Scripture - Daniel 6:10

    Now when Daniel learned
    that the decree had been published,
    he went home to his upstairs room
    where the windows opened toward Jerusalem.
    Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed,
    giving thanks to his God,
    just as he had done before.

  • EASTER SPECIALING 2012

    This Easter CFOT Cadets and Officers had the privilege of participating in a variety of Easter activities and services at Corps in Alberta.

    Small goups of Cadets/Officers participated in all aspects of the Easter Services and were also able to spend some valuable time with youth groups.  In Calgary tradition, some of our CFOT folks were “white hatted” (see photos below).  A wonderful time of worship, outreach and fellowship was had by all.

    A big thank you to the Alberta Divsion for hosting us!  You have been so gracious to us in sharing your ministries, your homes and your hearts with us…
