Charles shares the testimony of God’s grace during his training in Canada. In Psalm 118:24, it says, “This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” This is the most exciting day of my life, my heart is rejoicing and I give praise and glory to God. My [...]
“Ambassadors of Holiness.” What a powerful name. As a session, we feel the immense responsibility and privilege of being the first ever session in the history of The Salvation Army to carry within its name the word ‘Holiness.’ This significance will never be lost on us as we travel along on our lifetime journey of [...]
So roll up your sleeves, put your mind in gear, be totally ready to receive the gift that’s coming when Jesus arrives. Don’t lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn’t know any better then; you do now. As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled [...]
Friday June 3rd, 2011 was a day to remember in Winnipeg. It was a day filled with warm breezes, bright sunshine and no rain!! If that wasn’t enough, it was a day filled with spiritual blessings as the cadets experienced a ‘soul-care’ day. Major David Ivany, Spiritual Director and THQ Pastoral Services Officer, led us [...]
During Easter weekend, Cadets Kristen Jackson-Dockeray, Chalrimawia, Mary Maybury, and I had the great blessing of travelling to Swift Current. Upon arrivial, we were immediately welcomed and made to feel at home. While this weekend was certainly a great opportunity to share in ministry with the Corps in Swift Current, it was also a great [...]
As I reflect back to our Easter Specialling weekend I can hardly believe it was last month. Myteam, Cadets Cory & Kelly Fifield and Cadets Chris & Tonia Street, were sent to Dauphin, Manitoba. This was a wonderful weekend with Captain George Katchanov, as well as the Corps and community. I feel it was an educational [...]
The countdown is finally over! The Ambassadors of Holiness received their first appointments this morning. So, with great excitement (and some sadness because CFOT will miss them), here are the first appointments for the Ambassadors of Holiness: Cadet Chalrimawia – Ebenezer Corps, Central South Division (India) and Children’s Officer (Part time at Youth Department, THQ) [...]
Romans 12:1 says – Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – which is your spiritual worship. This was the verse that was on my mind as I prepared for the Mission: Cuba 3 trip that I was privileged to [...]
All CFOT cadets spend a great deal of time at various field placements throughout the city. Cadet Chalrimawia’s placement is at Weetamah. Weetamah is an urban community church which supports families who are struggling spiritually, socially and economically. We asked Cadet Chalrimawia a number of questions about his experiences at Weetamah. Can you share with us [...]
All CFOT Cadets spend a significant amount of time “out in the field” with various Salvation Army Corps, Salvation Army social services providers and community partners. CFOT is pleased to be able to highlight our partners in field training and to let you into the experiences of our Cadets as they engage with the congregations, [...]
“This is what the Lord says,
he who made the earth,
the Lord who formed it and established it -
the Lord is his name:
Call to me and I will answer you
and tell you great and unsearchable things
you do not know.”
Living Scripture - Psalm 111:10
The fear of the Lord
is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts
have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise.

Praying Scripture – Jeremiah 33:3-4
“This is what the Lord says,
he who made the earth,
the Lord who formed it and established it -
the Lord is his name:
Call to me and I will answer you
and tell you great and unsearchable things
you do not know.”
Living Scripture - 2 Chronicles 1:11-12
God said to Solomon,
“Since this is your heart’s desire
and you have not asked for wealth, riches or honor,
nor for the death of your enemies,
and since you have not asked for a long life
but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people
over whom I have made you king,
therefore wisdom and knowledge shall be given you.
And I will also give you
wealth, riches and honor,
such as no king who was before you ever had
and none after you will have.”

Praying Scripture – 1 Chronicles 16:29
“Ascribe to the LORD
the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come before him.
Worship the LORD
in the splendour of his holiness.”
Living Scripture - Revelation 22:8
I, John, am the one who heard
and saw these things.
And when I had heard and seen them,
I fell down to worship
at the feet of the angel
who had been showing them to me.

Praying Scripture – 1 Chronicles 16:29
“Ascribe to the LORD
the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come before him.
Worship the LORD
in the splendour of his holiness.”
Living Scripture - Revelation 4:9-11
Whenever the living creatures give glory,
honor and thanks to him
who sits on the throne
and lives forever and ever,
the twenty-four elders fall down before him
who sits on the throne,
and worship him who lives forever and ever.
They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.”

Praying Scripture – 1 Chronicles 16:29
“Ascribe to the LORD
the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come before him.
Worship the LORD
in the splendour of his holiness.”
Living Scripture - Hebrews 12:8-9
If you are not disciplined
(and everyone undergoes discipline),
then you are illegitimate children
and not true sons.
Moreover, we have all had human fathers
who disciplined us
and we respected them for it.
How much more should we submit
to the Father of our spirits and live!
This Easter CFOT Cadets and Officers had the privilege of participating in a variety of Easter activities and services at Corps in Alberta.
Small goups of Cadets/Officers participated in all aspects of the Easter Services and were also able to spend some valuable time with youth groups. In Calgary tradition, some of our CFOT folks were “white hatted” (see photos below). A wonderful time of worship, outreach and fellowship was had by all.
A big thank you to the Alberta Divsion for hosting us! You have been so gracious to us in sharing your ministries, your homes and your hearts with us…
