First of all, I extend my greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I would like to share with you about the wonderful time I had in my summer assignment. You see, I was blessed to have my summer assignment in my own home territory in India. I was appointed to Gilgal Corps, [...]
Have you ever considered what grace means? How is it received, how is it lived out, how is it extended, how is it applied, how do we understand it? Many could acknowledge that they’ve experienced saving grace, or justifying grace, whether we known it or not we’ve likely experienced previent grace. Grace, when we refer [...]
“It is in the intimacy with God that we develop a greater intimacy with people and it is in the silence and solitude of prayer that we indeed can touch the heart of human suffering to which we want to minister. Do we really believe this? It often seems that our professional busy-ness has claimed the [...]
As we engage in the ministry of compassion, it is important to remember that we cannot fix everything. I’ve learned to approach the sufferer, not to solve their problems, but to love them as God has commanded us. Jesus does not send us to do anything that He has not felt or experienced Himself. He [...]
“So, you are going to Training College… in Winnipeg?… How’s that going?” It’s a question that I heard a lot after my wife and I finalized our decision to follow God’s call to Salvation Army Officership. And I always have the same answer… “I love it! It’s GREAT!” I have to admit however, that as a [...]
After the Atlantic Congress & Commissioning, the excitement and anticipation was evident on most of my session-mates faces. They were eagerly anticipating getting out of CFOT for a few weeks, and into their Summer Assignment – getting the opportunity to use what they have learned to help real people in real situations. For me, however, [...]
“This is what the Lord says,
he who made the earth,
the Lord who formed it and established it -
the Lord is his name:
Call to me and I will answer you
and tell you great and unsearchable things
you do not know.”
Living Scripture - Psalm 111:10
The fear of the Lord
is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts
have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise.

Praying Scripture – Jeremiah 33:3-4
“This is what the Lord says,
he who made the earth,
the Lord who formed it and established it -
the Lord is his name:
Call to me and I will answer you
and tell you great and unsearchable things
you do not know.”
Living Scripture - 2 Chronicles 1:11-12
God said to Solomon,
“Since this is your heart’s desire
and you have not asked for wealth, riches or honor,
nor for the death of your enemies,
and since you have not asked for a long life
but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people
over whom I have made you king,
therefore wisdom and knowledge shall be given you.
And I will also give you
wealth, riches and honor,
such as no king who was before you ever had
and none after you will have.”

Praying Scripture – 1 Chronicles 16:29
“Ascribe to the LORD
the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come before him.
Worship the LORD
in the splendour of his holiness.”
Living Scripture - Revelation 22:8
I, John, am the one who heard
and saw these things.
And when I had heard and seen them,
I fell down to worship
at the feet of the angel
who had been showing them to me.

Praying Scripture – 1 Chronicles 16:29
“Ascribe to the LORD
the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come before him.
Worship the LORD
in the splendour of his holiness.”
Living Scripture - Revelation 4:9-11
Whenever the living creatures give glory,
honor and thanks to him
who sits on the throne
and lives forever and ever,
the twenty-four elders fall down before him
who sits on the throne,
and worship him who lives forever and ever.
They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.”

Praying Scripture – 1 Chronicles 16:29
“Ascribe to the LORD
the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come before him.
Worship the LORD
in the splendour of his holiness.”
Living Scripture - Hebrews 12:8-9
If you are not disciplined
(and everyone undergoes discipline),
then you are illegitimate children
and not true sons.
Moreover, we have all had human fathers
who disciplined us
and we respected them for it.
How much more should we submit
to the Father of our spirits and live!
This Easter CFOT Cadets and Officers had the privilege of participating in a variety of Easter activities and services at Corps in Alberta.
Small goups of Cadets/Officers participated in all aspects of the Easter Services and were also able to spend some valuable time with youth groups. In Calgary tradition, some of our CFOT folks were “white hatted” (see photos below). A wonderful time of worship, outreach and fellowship was had by all.
A big thank you to the Alberta Divsion for hosting us! You have been so gracious to us in sharing your ministries, your homes and your hearts with us…
