Poll | Your view on Drinking

While the poll is closed, the conversation continues, and I think this has been a healthy dialogue.  From my own perspective I was quite surprised by the results of the poll: The Option that best describes my position on alcohol use is: Moderationist: drinking in moderation is fine and is a personal decision (77.0%, 234 [...]

Who Preaches?

We asked you if people other than the Corps Officer should be allowed to preach?  70% of you said Yes, 29% said it depends on the frequency, and 1% said No.  It would be interesting to poll the territory and ask how often in a year does someone other than the Corps Officer preach?  First [...]

AUXILIARY CAPTAIN | BOB ELLIOTT

As a young man I was interested in God, whoever He was. It just didn’t make sense to me that we could exist on this earth without having some way of getting here. That being said, I was brought up in a non-Christian home and knew nothing of this God that I had belief in. [...]

God has been watching me for many years as I have tried to prove my ability to achieve.  Thank goodness He has a sense of humor and great patience! After a career spent in the hotel business, and many years as a single parent of two wonderful children, God has blessed me twice over – first [...]

AUXILIARY CAPTAIN | SANDRA ROSS

I was born in Montreal, Quebec, into a Catholic family, and  I attended Catholic Church until I was 12 years old.  Then I stopped.  I knew about God and actually had a reverence of Him but I did not have a personal relationship with Him until I moved to Ontario when I was 30 years [...]

    Scriptures for Praying & Living

    February 9, 2012

    Praying Scripture – Micah 6:8-10

    He has shown you,
    O mortal, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

    Living Scripture -  Psalm 25:3

No one who hopes in you
will ever be put to shame.

  • In Sunday January 22 2012

CFOT was pleased to welcome special guests Colonels Floyd and Tracey Tidd to our In Sunday on January 22, 2012.
The focus of their message was “Hope” and cadets and officers shared stories of life situations that may have seemed hopeless but which eventually brought them to know hope.

This In Sunday was also blessed by the attendance of our Field Based Training cadets – Peck-Ee Wong and Leonard Heng, and  Kim and Darryl Burry (and their family).
