Regular classes have now ended at CFOT. This past week was spent in the writing of exams. Appropriately, the Witnesses for Christ session concluded their SA Theology class with a focus on eschatology - the study of the end times. Major Ray Harris unveiled a song in class that celebrates the end of theology class.
Cadets had the opportunity recently to attend a conference on evangelism called, “Cross the Street”, sponsored by the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC). Renown author and evangelist Tony Campolo addresses the first plenary session in his talk entitled, “The Need”.
Do you ever feel like your spinning your wheels? Commissioners Wm. and Marilyn Francis recently visited CFOT, and our Territorial Commander, Comm. Wm. Francis shared a message from the Word, Psalm 25. It may be the prescriptive traction you need right now in the ministry you serve.

The right to speak freely is something we cherish in our society. In fact most western democracies list free speech as a fundamental right. So what happens when one’s right to free speech collides with one’s right to practice freedom of religion? We have had opportunity to read course papers, and most recently heard a podcast of a new tune to a Salvation Army song. On Saturday March 29th, people around the world observed what has become known as Earth Hour, an initiative created by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund, not World Wrestling Federation). This is a day when earth’s citizens were asked to turn off the electricity in their homes and businesses for one hour between 8:00pm-9:00pm local time.
