Steppin’ out in prayer

You can tell a lot about a community by watching. Looking at the neighbourhood stores, how resident’s tend their homes, what kinds of cars are parked on the street… it’s a bit like being a detective. And that is what faculty and staff from CFOT are doing every week in a Winnipeg community where The Salvation Army’s Multicultural Family Centre is located.

OUR HOME | CFOT PHOTO FEATURE

Just two years ago the new CFOT in Winnipeg was a mess - stone chips and drywall dust, wood slivers and nails. Renovations on our 90-year-old building were well underway but the results were - and are - spectacular. For those of you who haven’t yet had the opportunity to visit us, we’ve put together a collection of pictures that showcase our home.

The General speaks

It was the first time in over 20 years that a sitting General visited Winnipeg, and CFOT is thrilled to offer you his address to cadets, officers and those who proclaim the gospel. In what proved to be a stirring message on this notable visit, General Shaw Clifton offered two words of inspiration to his congregation at the CFOT chapel, “Vision and Verdict”.

Keep my decrees and follow them.
I am the LORD, who makes you holy.

    Living Scripture -  Psalm 24:3

Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD?
Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.

  • In Sunday January 22 2012

CFOT was pleased to welcome special guests Colonels Floyd and Tracey Tidd to our In Sunday on January 22, 2012.
The focus of their message was “Hope” and cadets and officers shared stories of life situations that may have seemed hopeless but which eventually brought them to know hope.

This In Sunday was also blessed by the attendance of our Field Based Training cadets – Peck-Ee Wong and Leonard Heng, and  Kim and Darryl Burry (and their family).
