CHAPELS | GOD’S CONVERSATION HEARTS

February, and Valentine’s Day, have come and gone, perhaps taking with them the thoughts of love that fill the air during that time of year.  In her February chapel, Cadet Tonia Street reflected on God’s love, her response to that love as a Christian and how “sweets for your sweet” can remind you of greater things. February may [...]

CHAPEL | WORDS OF WISDOM

God has spoken to people in many ways through His Scripture.  The focus of my first chapel would be Words of Wisdom from Proverbs.  I was wondering how God would use me to be His voice.  After speaking with a few friends, I decided that the chapel would be one of reflection and prayer.   As they entered the chapel I [...]

When you enter the Chapel, either on a Monday, Tuesday or Friday, it is anticipated that it will be a special time of spiritual blessings and enrichment.  From hearing a cadet’s story, to providing insight into a particular scripture theme or praying for our new Lieutenants, there is always a sense that the Lord is [...]

CFOT HIGHLIGHTS
  • Scripture for Praying & Living

    May 18, 2012

     Praying Scripture – 1 Chronicles 16:29

    “Ascribe to the LORD
    the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come before him.
    Worship the LORD
in the splendour of his holiness.”

    Living Scripture - Hebrews 12:8-9

    If you are not disciplined
    (and everyone undergoes discipline),
    then you are illegitimate children
    and not true sons.
Moreover, we have all had human fathers
    who disciplined us
and we respected them for it.
How much more should we submit
to the Father of our spirits and live!

  • Scripture for Praying & Living

    May 17, 2012

    Praying Scripture – 1 Chronicles 16:29

    “Ascribe to the LORD
    the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come before him.
    Worship the LORD
in the splendour of his holiness.”

    Living Scripture - Daniel 6:10

    Now when Daniel learned
that the decree had been published,
he went home to his upstairs room
where the windows opened toward Jerusalem.
Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed,
    giving thanks to his God,
just as he had done before.

  • EASTER SPECIALING 2012

This Easter CFOT Cadets and Officers had the privilege of participating in a variety of Easter activities and services at Corps in Alberta.

Small goups of Cadets/Officers participated in all aspects of the Easter Services and were also able to spend some valuable time with youth groups.  In Calgary tradition, some of our CFOT folks were “white hatted” (see photos below).  A wonderful time of worship, outreach and fellowship was had by all.

A big thank you to the Alberta Divsion for hosting us!  You have been so gracious to us in sharing your ministries, your homes and your hearts with us…
