My name is Deanna Scott I was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta. It was a privileged to be able to spend my teenage years in Africa with my parents who are Salvation Army Officers, spending three years in Zimbabwe and four years in South Africa. During my time there I gained a great love for the continent of Africa as well a desire to travel and experience the world and what it has to offer. The learning experiences that come from travel and exploring other cultures is immeasurable.
Returning to Canada at 21, I attended the Grande Prairie Regional College completing a Business Administration Certificate. It was in Grande Prairie I married the love of my life – whom I have known since we were children. Ian and I have 3 wonderful children, Joshua – nine, Duncan – seven and Ayren – five, and they certainly keep us busy and entertained. Joshua is going into grade 4 and loves reading and learning about almost anything. Duncan is going into grade 2 and has discovered a love for Star Wars and all that it entails, he is keeping up a family tradition. Ayren is the only girl in 3 generations of the Scott house and likes to play with Ponies, Bratz, and anything pink.
When I’m not keeping busy with the children, and now my training preparation, I like to relax by reading a book, baking or camping with my family.
