I have always understood my life purpose to be about supporting people. When I was younger I was sure I would become a social worker, because they helped people with life challenges. Pursuing that ideal, I worked with youth and adults with developmental disabilities for 13 years. This experience led to me to a deeper appreciation of the inherent beauty of God’s creation.
I welcome the sense of wonder I feel when attempting to understand the complexities of human relationships or looking at magnificent scenery. I enjoy time with people, in community and service; yet I also savour quiet time walking forested trails or along the water. I find satisfaction in bringing encouragement to life’s journeys, always watchful for an opportunity to share the hope of Christ with those I meet.
