As human beings we often find it hard to overcome fault of other and are eager to judge and persecute individuals for thier wrong doings. The fact of the matter with Toger is that he was so widely loved because of his high profile Golf status and appeared to be the “Model Athlete” to many around the entire world, and yet his credibility rating has gone from 10 to 0 in just seconds with the majoprity of the worlds population. Yes, agreed, we would not condone this sort of behaviour, however, most of what we hear is tabloid driven gossip and few of us, if any would be privvy to the facts of this story. We can get upset with Tiger, or speak up against his behaviour but when it come to Forgivness, are we really like Christ if we do not FULLY fogive the action of this man.
8.Colossians 1:14 (KJV) says…..
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Christ himself is not holding that grudge or anger to him and so who are we do continue to be unforgiving if we call ourselves Christians. We need to forgive and continue to uphold him in prayer and not allow ourselves to0 be drawn into the negativity that the media and many others have.

I don’t feel any particular injury from Tiger that needs my forgiveness. As I understand it, Tiger is a Buddhist. From experience, I have learned it is not wise to require the same behaviour from non-Christians as one would hope to see in those who walk with the Lord. If Tiger is struggling with marital faithfulness, that only highlights the need for more prayer than judgment and faith that God can work even this together for good should the Wood family choose to follow God’s call on their lives. While I don’t seek to excuse sexual immorality, I recognize that ministry begins with love not gossip. Sadly, there seems to be rather too much of the latter in Tiger’s life at the moment.

Done. As far as I know “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” and that “While we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” Why would I wait to forgive another?

My thoughts on your question are – first, the person who needs to forgive Tiger would be the person(s) he hurt personally – his wife, childen, mother etc. It would be presumptious of me to offer forgiveness.

Also – I have always considered Tiger an unbelievable golfer and still do, however, being a good golfer doesn’t mean he’s a man of good character. Perhaps we need to start separating the 2. Perhaps this will be a lesson for future when sports, movie starts, politicians…etc. become icons instead of mere humans, needing God’s grace and mercy. Blessings

It doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things how long it would take me, or any other human, to forgive Tiger Woods. What is important to him and others is that God is already offering his forgiveness; all Tiger has to do is reach out and accept it.
