We praise God today for His presence and work throughout our specialling weekend in Moose Jaw. On Friday night, we experienced how God is working in downtown Moose Jaw at an interdenominational Youth Center called Joe’s Place. We saw God’s Spirit in Joe as he and his staff spread the love of Christ to the youth in that area. WOW! What a fantastic ministry!
On Saturday, we had the opportunity to lead two Nursing Home services. We learned a lot at these two services about preparation and giving God the glory from beginning to end. Anne Marie spoke about Precious Treasures and Kathy spoke about Laughter.
Saturday night was a night of celebration as we shared with Swift Current Corps for their 96th anniversary. We had fun singing those Old Army songs, enjoyed a beautiful meal, and then an amazing Concert of Praise. We met some new friends in Christ.
As a team we were very blessed by the time we shared with the young people who came to Sunday School. God did a
mighty work during this time. As a team we led the Sunday School for that day. There were fourteen youth in attendance who are all part of the Salvation Army’s bus ministry in Moose Jaw. It was wonderful to see their facial expressions and enthusiasm as we talked about how God guides their lives. We sang songs, played games, constructed model houses, learned about how God guided Abraham, and learned memory verses. Some of the youth had such a great time that four of them wished to stay to the service.
The service was Spirit-filled as Claude led worship and Phillip preached on Worrying. God worked through his servants and as the appeal took place, the Spirit rested on the youth in the back seat of the church. Anne-Marie had the privilege of praying with these children as God led the children to ask questions and as one boy was led to the Mercy Seat. The Spirit penetrated deep within each of us as God worked miracles in the back row of the church where the children sat.
As a team we give thanks to God for the work He did that weekend. We pray that God will continue this work in Moose Jaw.
