Wow!! Time goes by so quickly!!! Last week, I helped Captains Jean-Curtis Cartmell and Rachele Lamont at the Lac L’Achigan camp, and I met many people who have in their heart the mission of the Salvation Army. Everyone works extremely hard and the hours of work are long and well filled. I worked three days with the camp and two days at the family service at St-Jerome and Sunday I preached. It was one marvellous week!!!
Throughout my week many people are very generous with their encouragement and compliments. I thought about what the people said and I realized all that I did is for Christ. If I accomplished all these things it’s not because of me, Anne-Marie, I’m not better than another. But if I succeeded in working it’s because God blesses me of a health to do it and I thank God for health that he grants me. Today, I read in 1 Timothy 1:12: ¨I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service¨.
We often take for granted our health. I met a man at the church who has a fragile health and every time he can offer help for the ministry, he does it with all his heart for God. I thank you Lord for this opportunity of working for you! Thank you for being present and helping me achieve what I must do. Thank you for all energy and health that you offer me.
