At the end of their first term of Field Education (September to December 2011), cadets in the Proclaimers of the Resurrection session were asked to reflect upon their time in Winnipeg and to come up with an article, poem, interpretive dance, musical composition or other form of expression, that describes “their” Winnipeg. As far as we know, no dancers came forward but….
This is Cadet Ricaurte Velasquez’s reflection on Winnipeg.
Cadet Ricaurte Velasquez, and his wife Vilma Ramos, are in the Proclaimers of the Resurrection session. Originally from Colombia, they have brought the warmth and rhythms of South America to our northern climes.
